We Recommend: Robert Mapplethorpe

Opening this week is an exhibition of Robert Mapplethorpe's work "A Season in Hell". Famous for his controversial documentation of the gay scene in New York in the 1980's this show explores the scared and profane combining his still life with extreme sexual imagery. Perhaps not for the faint hearted nevertheless this exhibition is a rare opportunity to view the totality of Mapplethorpe's approach to image making. It runs from October 14th to November 21 at the Alison Jacques Gallery in London.
